Graduation Requirements 

*Note: Since no Spring, 2020 state testing was completed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Ohio Department of Education determined that testing points (for first attempt and retakes) would be granted to students based on grades earned in the tested subject areas. A=5 points; B=4 points; C=3 points; D=2 points; F=1 point.

Course Requirements: 4 credits of English, 4 credits of Math (including Algebra II), 3 credits of Social Studies (including 1 credit in American History; Government; 1/2 credit of World Studies Class of 2021 and beyond), 3 credits of Science (including 1 credit in Physical; Life), 1/2 credit of Health; 1/2 credit of PE, 6 electives (including one credit of fine art).

Class of 2021, 2022

1) Complete all course requirements. 

2) Take End of Course exams in English I, English II, Algebra I, Geometry, American History,
    Biology and Government.

3) Meet one of the following three:
         a)Earn a minimum of 18 points on the end of course exams.

-4 minimum points in English

-4 minimum points in Math

-6 minimum points in Science/Social Studies

-4 additional points in any area

         b) Reach a remediation-free score on an approved college admissions test. Ex. ACT
             English-18; Math-22; Reading-22

 c) Earn 12 industry credentials AND earn a minimum of 13 points (Class of 2019) or 14
            points (Class of 2020 and beyond) on the ACT WorkKeys. (This pathway is be
            completed through a vocational school such as Tri Rivers Career Center).

Class of 2021 and 2022 may also meet the new graduation requirements for the Class of 2023 and beyond.

Student Success Plans

Students will be deemed “at risk” and placed on a Success Plan if they are a) deficient in more than one academic credit at any point during high school, b) are deficient in state test scores at any point during high school, and/or c) have not met the criteria for at least one diploma seal by junior year.
